A name and charging information was not yet available.

LOWER MERION — Lower Merion Township police say a man was seen using a cellphone to take photos up skirts of women at Trader Joe’s in Suburban Square.

According to police, on July 21, an unidentified man was seen taking photos of unsuspecting women inside the store.

The man did not make a purchase before leaving the store.

He was described as a white male in his 20s with a dark beard and glasses, wearing a red baseball cap, light blue shorts, a dark T-shirt, and white slides with white socks.

Anyone who knows the man’s identity is asked to contact Detective Jim Black at 610-645-6231 or Detective Sgt. Michael Keenan at 610-645-6228.

Other crime reported by Lower Merion police:

July 22: Attempted theft. The complainant reported that their Hyundai had the driver’s side window broken out in Bala Cynwyd, and the vehicle was ransacked. Located within close proximity to the Hyundai was another stolen Hyundai out of Philadelphia.

July 22: Theft from vehicle in Wynnewood. The complainant observed on his home surveillance camera two people entering his unlocked Jeep, which was parked in the driveway. Stolen from the vehicle was a set of keys to the residence and another car.

July 25: Burglary in Bala Cynwyd. A known person broke into the victim’s apartment and assaulted the victim following a disagreement.

July 27: Theft from motor vehicle in Merion. A license plate was reported stolen from a BMW that had been parked in front of the residence.
